Tree Felling is the removal of a tree, by carefully removing it in sections. A tree may require felling if it has become unsafe due to storm damage or suffered disease, leaving it a hazard to property or the public. It may be that the tree has begun to contribute to subsidence issues with your property.

Douglas Fir Tree Care are a highly specialist firm that have invested in specialist equipment and training to ensure you get the safest tree dismantling possible. We also specialise in the dismantling, felling and removal of trees in extremely small or confined areas.

We undertake sectional felling; which is a climbed dismantling of trees using ropes, pulleys and frictional devices. In some cases cranes may be used, usually when trees are too large, or the area is too small to be felled in one.

Dismantling trees in sections is often required when objects, (such as greenhouses, conservatories, roads or buildings) are located under a tree canopy. We can safely lower and remove unsafe tree limbs to ensure that no damage will occur to your property.

At Douglas Fir Tree Care we pride ourselves on achieving a high standard with professional speed and accuracy, here is a video example of an accurate felling of a large spruce imbetween two houses where the margin for error is small, Matt (who did the cutting) and Doug (who did the pushing) are pleased when this one comes down safely!
