Service: Crown Reduction

Douglas Fir Tree Care provides crown reduction services. Crown reduction is literally the removal of branches to reduce the overall bulk of a tree. We will usually agree to reduce the height of the crown by a percentage of around 25%-30%.

Crown reduction reduces the tree in size and volume, whilst retaining the natural shape of the species. (example video…) For instance, trees in close proximity to buildings may need a reduction to prevent damage to property. Trees in small gardens may need reducing to maintain a balance with the surrounding area (i.e so the tree does not get too large for its location.)
